Christian Downs

Christian Downs, MHA, JD, is Deputy Executive Director of the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) in Rockville, Maryland. In his current position, Christian guides the Staff which supports the Board of Trustees of ACCC in the implementation of its many programs, conferences and meetings.

Christian also leads the Policy and Education Departments. Education is provided through various conferences and meetings for a membership of over 650 hospitals and physician offices. Legislative and regulatory issues are tracked on behalf on these ACCC members, on both the state and federal level. In addition, Christian performs practical economic analysis on industry and political trends and advises the membership on appropriate responses.

Before coming to ACCC, Christian worked in the Public Policy Department at the American Society of Clinical Oncology and managed a large multi-specialty practice.

Christian received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Communications from the George Washington University, his Masters in Health Administration from the Medical College of Virginia and his law degree from George Mason University.
