Seeking Nominations Elite President's Council
The National Patient Advocate Foundation is seeking nominations for its new Elite President's Council. Members of the Council will advise Foundation President Nancy Davenport-Ennis and senior staff, as well as represent the Foundation on high-level policy matters.
Members of the Elite President’s Council will attend the Foundation’s Patient Congress in Washington, DC in June 2012. Council Members will also participate in health policy Leadership Seminars and represent the Foundation before local, state and federal policymakers and the media.
“The Foundation is leading the fight for access to high quality, affordable care,” said President and CEO Nancy Davenport-Ennis. “The Elite Council will not only advise us on how to achieve this objective, but help educate elected officials, policymakers and the media about the specific needs of patients.”
Membership in the Elite President's Council is reserved for individuals who have been active in influencing public policy and health care. While individuals served by the Foundation are preferred, we also welcome nominations from medical professionals, caregivers, spouses and community leaders engaged in health care and politics.
It is estimated that Council membership will require no more than 1-3 hours per month of activity (with the exception of attending the June 2012 Patient's Congress). Individuals interested in serving in this capacity must complete and return an official Elite President's Council application by November 30, 2011.
