John L. Murphy is a founding member of the Board of Directors of Patient Advocate Foundation and National Patient Advocate Foundation. He currently serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee for both organizations.

He is a Managing Member and Chief Operating Officer of Saguenay Capital, LLC., a hedge fund and financial advisory firm located in Purchase, New York.

Previous to joining Saguenay, he was one of the founding members of Cove Harbor Partners, LLC, a private investment and consulting firm located in Stamford, Ct. There he was active as an investor, director, and consultant with a number of Cove Harbor’s investments, prior that he spent his professional career at Bankers Trust Company. During his tenure there he held a number of senior and executive management positions across a number of business lines, including Corporate Banking and Finance, Private Banking and Asset Management, and the firm’s sales and trading, financing, and risk management businesses.

Mr. Murphy is a graduate of Dartmouth College and earned his Master of Business Administration from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
