NPAF Sends Letter to Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction (“Super Committee”)
NPAF has been working around the clock to make sure that the newly appointed Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction (“Super Committee”) does not cut or diminish important Medicare and Medicaid services that can potentially lead to a reduction in services to patients.
Please see the attached letter which has been sent directly to Super Committee members, their staff, and the four committees of health jurisdiction. While patients face many complex issues relating to healthcare access, this letter focuses on three patient-centric topics that are most relevant to the discussions underway by the Committee: (1) cuts to Medicare Part B reimbursement; (2) medical Imaging; and (3) the dual eligible population.
