NPAF Legislation Introduced

Legislation proposed by National Patient Advocate Foundation was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives on June 22nd, 2007. The two bills, HR 2833 and HR 2842, eliminate barriers to health insurance coverage. Introduced by Representative Joe Courtney (D-CT), HR 2833, titled the "Preexisting Condition Exclusion Patient Protection Act of 2007", protects patients from pre-existing condition limitations.

The second bill, HR 2842, titled the "Children's Health Protection Act of 2007" was introduced by Representative Allyson Schwartz (D-PA) and eliminates pre-existing condition limitation periods for children in the private health insurance market.
