Uninsured Population in U.S. Reaches 50 Million

Last week the U.S. Census Bureau reported an increase in the number of people without health insurance. The rise in uninsured people to over 50 million is related to the increasing cost of medical care, job loss, employers dropping medical coverage and families choosing to cut coverage to save money. The new healthcare law that will be fully implemented in 2014 will establish health insurance exchanges to allow more Americans access to affordable health coverage.
