Rene S. Cabral-Daniels

Rene Cabral-Daniels is currently the Vice President of Grant Programs at the Williamsburg Community Health Programs. Previously, she was the Director of the Office of Health Policy and Planning (OHPP) from January of 2002. The OHPP is responsible for improving health care access to the residents of Virginia. Offices within OHPP include the State Office of Rural Health, the Primary Care Office, and the Office of Minority Health. Programs administered within the OHPP are Telemedicine, Limited English Proficiency, State Loan Repayment, Nursing Scholarship, Critical Access Program, Small Hospital Improvement Program and others. Rene received a B.S. in Spanish and Mental Health from Tufts University, a Masters in Public Health from Yale School of Medicine, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia. Rene enjoys spending time with her husband Taumi and three daughters aged 7, 9, and 11.
