Social Media Toolkit

This easy-to-use resource explains why digital spaces matter for advocacy and how you can help amplify NPAF’s mission through social media.

Background

Whether you’re an avid social media user or someone who approaches it with caution, there’s no denying its presence in our daily lives. Beyond building connections, social media can also be used as an advocacy tool—one that helps: raise awareness about key issues, bring urgency to important causes and, of course, connect people who care about making change happen.

NPAF’s Approach to Social Media

We don’t claim to be social media experts, but we do know the power social media has to expand our reach. At NPAF, we use social media to connect with the people who need to hear our messages most. Our goal is to:

  • Share accurate, trustworthy information
  • Amplify the voices of patients and caregivers (and the people who care about them)
  • Build and strengthen our community

Why You Should Help

Engaging in social media is a very easy and accessible way to help support our work. It can be done on your own time, helps us get seen, and it shows connections. When we all engage online, we do more than post — we make an impact.

This toolkit includes all the different ways you can help play a part online by sharing, liking, commenting on our social media posts across different platforms. Read on to see the types of actions you can take.
