Senior Director, Public Relations
Caitlin Donovan serves as the primary media spokesperson for NPAF and Patient Advocate Foundation. She also oversees social media and other outreach programs.
As part of the advocacy team, Caitlin works to develop and implement strategic communications plans to ensure that the patient perspective is heard in the greater national conversation about health care. As an expert in health care policy, particularly medical billing and finances, she has been quoted in the The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN and USA Today. She has also appeared as a guest on various radio and television programs, where she tries very hard not to reference Bruce Springsteen and only succeeds some of the time.
Before joining NPAF, Caitlin worked on health care policy for a House Majority Leader, a Congressman and a governor. She has also worked on several campaigns at both the state and national levels, including for a group of feisty nuns.
She has completed graduate work at the Johns Hopkins University and has a bachelor’s degree with departmental honors in comparative politics from Brown University.
As a Jersey Shore native, she lives and works in the promised land with her husband and three children.
